Good Gone Bad by Giana Darling

Good Gone Bad (The Fallen Men, #3)Good Gone Bad by Giana Darling

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a long awaited book for me. The sassy princess Harleigh Rose / ‘Rosie’ from the Fallen MC having to go undercover to save her family.

And Lionel ‘Lion’ Danner the good cop with a secret Dom side that meets her submissive side.

Great story well told.

Pity that the Wrath and his lady are killed. The utter disrespect given to the black woman, shot and thrown into the sea reflected a lot of the rather xenophobic attitudes and behaviour that are being fuelled and celebrated by some of the more prominent western countries.

Sad that this book had to use its own subtle influence in such a despicable way, Was really disappointed by that.

On one hand I could say, Ms Darling could do better.
Everyone has influence. How you weird it shows a lot about you.

But hey, ho, I suppose writers are free to have heir artistic licence and kill women or minorities however they choose. If you as a reader don’t like it, you don’t have to buy the books.

Whelp, I don’t like it.

Drummers Beat (Satans Devils MC #2) by Manda Mellett

Drummer’s Beat (Satan’s Devils #2) by Manda Mellett

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Can’t beat this Racy, raging hot read!
So. Tucson. That place literally gets flooded with the Satans Devils MC.

This is the first book I have read from Manda Mellett, courtesy of an ARC, and I’m glad I let this one jump the queue.
So. OK.
Hunky tattooed biker MC? Check.
Secret baby phenomenon? Check ( yes. Check. Just read the book)
BDSM Master/ slave dynamic explored? Check.
Virgin territory for H and h? Check. (yes. CHECK. Just READ the book)
Darkish read without getting too dark for the weak spirited and highly strung? Check
Machine guns, mayhem, murder, mommies and military? Check.Check.Check. Just keep checking…

What’s not to lurve here???

This is a great mix – like a peanut butter cup…or a salted caramel sundae…a lil bit sweet, a lot sharp, tied together as a gritty book, the second in the Satans Devils MC series (btw..who else’s Devils would they be? Just sayn…)

Can be read as a standalone, with only a few niggling throwbacks to the escapades of Book #1 which can be easily ignored by the thunderous pace of this gem.

Manda has Drum/Drummer’s male PoV of the H down pat, as unapologetic and frustratedly confused as any good MC Prez should be with the feelings he is having to handle. It’s a joy to follow the unfolding of this relationship in spite of the backdrop of guns, murder, torture, BEER, bikes and bikers.

But the kicker for me is Sam/Samantha, the strong, sexy, intelligent h of this tale. Just loved her sass and grit.

Great plot, some brilliant cringeworthy scenes ( I seriously read a few peeking out from between my fingers in horror/ embarrassment…)

This is a solid 4 star read

The only problem for Manda is the risk that with all the tropes and genres woven into this book, there may be nothing left to give in any future books to this series!

Which would be a pity as I’ve added Ms Mellett to my extremely small list of 1-click buy authors!
Woman, pull up a shelf and park your sweet butt (oops )…and the smexy scenes? All I can say is “strike a light! Good on yer, girl” – welcome to her library of congress…!!

Ransom – the new MC series by Jacob Chance and Logan Chance

Ransom ( Aces & Eights Motorcycle Club Book 1)Ransom by Logan Chance

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Take the Chance with Aces & Eights MC
I took the opportunity voluntarily review an ARC of this book.

The six blood brothers Fox, also patched in by choice as brothers in arms to Aces & Eights MC literally come thundering into your life bathed in blood and itching for revenge.

The MC genre is a slight departure from the books either brother (Logan Chance or Jacob Chance) have written before. And it’s hot, raw, sweaty, gritty and doused in Jack Daniels. Literally.

It appears there is no genre so far that these two authors can’t handle.

There’s no apology of the outlaw biker MC lifestyle as the two oldest brothers, Liam and Rory, take centre stage, extacting revenge for the death of the club Pres with both brothers also getting their respective ‘girl’ in the process.

Fallon and Audrey are worked into the picture but this is a man’s romance book and these whilst important and intrinsic to the plot the women don’t feel like the centre of the stories.

This story is told totally from the PoV of the two men, which led to a very fast paced, dick swinging, fists flying, brutal story. With lava hot sex scenes RANSOM is all the foundations laid out for at least another two sizzlers from the pens of this duo.

Although the book covers the same period, the stories of Liam and Rory don’t overlap too much, giving each a chance to display their own character and the lure that pulled them each towards the love of their life.

These boys are gritty, and unapologetically so.
Here’s hoping the Brothers Chance can crank out the next in the series at pace ‘cos their fans are going to eat them alive otherwise!

Whoever thought they could mess with me doesn’t f*cking know who they’re dealing with. I’m the soon to be President of the Blood Riders MC, and I don’t take sh*t from anyone.

Sure as f*k not when it comes to Nicole. Every death threat they send only fuels my fire to find those bastards. She’s my ride or die. The only true love of my life.

They think they can tear us apart, but I’ll rip them to shreds before they can lay a hand on my old lady.

They won’t leave us alone. I know my family thinks it’s best, but I love Drake. He’s my everything. He promised me happily ever after, but that’s not what this is.

My family can’t understand our happiness and has been trying to stick their nose into our life and turn everything upside down.

I thought we could survive anything and everything. But he’s acting increasingly distant. With everything trying to pull us apart, I don’t know if I can hold us together much longer.

Roaring Start “Threat” Blood Riders MC Book #1 by TIa Lewis

3.0 out of 5 stars

Good start to Blood Riders MC

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review

This book is not as dark or gritty as I usually expect but it still has all the right elements for a great MC series. The storyline for heroine, Nicole is plausible and shows how resilient and smart she is, orphaned after the murder of her father. The gritty characters of the Blood Riders MC are real, fractured, sometimes pathetic, tortured….all great stuff, as this gives lots of characters just itching to join Drake as future great reads!

My only bit of a downer was the enemy, Hawk, leader of rival Cobras MC who’s speech sometimes became almost too refined in a way that felt a bit out of step with his character, but that is such a small point in the whole scheme and I’m almost scraping around for negatives to say… So I won’t!

Sweet and sugary it ain’t but that’s never what you expect from a bad boy MC novel.

Great HEA epilogue. Will definitely come back for more

MyReads Review: Craving it All by Kati Wilde

This is the 9th book in the Hellfire Raiders series

Beefy hunky brooding biker? Check
Damsel in need? Check

What’s not to like here?

My rating: 💋💋💋

Err-mer-gerd! This is by far the hottest and steamiest installment of the Hellfire Riders MC (HRMC) series! Author Kati Wilde oundid herself with this one!

If you thought it couldn’t get any better than “Breaking It All” don’t worry… it just does.

The Story (includes spoilers):

Sara, is an american born ethnic Lebanese culinary trained chef fleeing a stalker, murderous WASP ex-boyfriend who, to keep her for himself, barricaded her family home, burning it down with her parents and grandmother inside.

She runs away from this train wreck to the little quiet town of Pine Valley helped by an old school mate and works in a patissierie where she caught the eye of beefy, interim-enforcer (long story – read Breaking it all), Bull.

Bull…Oh, Bull. Real name David. Built like Goliath. All over. Yep, even there…. (dreamy sigh)

Sara works up the courage to ask for a kiss and sparks fly, but quickly tensions rise when one of Bulls informants, kidnaps her to run her round to Bull as a present. Bull is not amused. Go figure.

The story follows the usual enforced lockdown for Sara with Bull, the man you love/hate/ good-grief-I-don’t-know-OK-OK-so-I-like-him-a-lot-OK? And Bull has a GSOH, muscles for days, plus an eccentric father, both who love her cooking.

The fastest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach… (or a bullet…. or come to think of it, an eight inch kitchen knife through the chest, but I digress…)

Sara misunderstands the ‘club bizniz’ she accidentally overhears and this rocks the burgeoning relationship, but after a totally earth shattering romp in Bull’s massive bed, she gets an explanation – and gets to do some kickass cooking, bringing Bull to his knees…. again.

Bull takes care of bizniz…. and takes care of the ‘club bizniz’ falling even harder for Sara in a big, big way.

What Ceeri thinks: So, I loved that he was forceful but not pushy, and although Sara was a bit overwhelmed by his speed – he ramped things up (like from 0 to 60  – in a heartbeat) he actually used his greatest asset, his tongue (NO, not in that way! Y’all so filthy… OK, OK a bit in that way…. actually a LOT in THAT way…😂😂) to make his character the funny, sexy, intense badass biker he was.

“Dark hair wild, eyes savage, he looks down at me lying across his bed, my ass almost hanging off the edge and my legs trapping his waist.
My chest heaves with ragged breaths. “Bull?”
“I’m not stopping.” His big hands grip my thighs just above my knees, his thumbs sweeping across the sensitive inner skin. “But I don’t have any condoms. So I’m just deciding whether to get you pregnant with a big hairy baby.”
My eyes fly wide. “What?”
His grin is quick and feral. “Just fucking with you. Mostly.”

Craving it All (Bull & Sara’s Story) Hellfire Raiders MC – book cover

“It’s not funny,” I say despite the laugh that’s shaking through me. Because it’s really not funny, except that it’s exactly the kind of crazy thing he’d say. It’s exactly the kind of thing that made me so crazy about him in the first place.
Why I’m still crazy about him. Even if I have to pretend it will last.
Huskily I ask, “Why ‘mostly’?”
His hands slide higher, pushing the long hem of my borrowed shirt upward. “I really don’t have condoms. You on birth control?”
I shake my head.

“He groans like my answer just killed him and his fingers slip higher. “It’s all right, baby. I’ll just— I’ll…just…” His big body goes utterly still. “Oh fuck, you’re already wet.”

You see?
You see??
Who wouldn’t want that kind of crazy, funny, sexy, hot???

Ok then.
The blending of Sara’s muslim faith and modern American woman was subtle and well crafted, although there was some need to stretch reality to fit the story into the book length.
(Poor Kati probably had writer’s cramp after the marathon that was Gunner’s & Anna’s beautiful love story…)
They get their HEA, (and thankfully after only six months people! Usually with this bunch its an average of 10 yrs before these guy finally man up/lose their sh*t and make a move…) and baby girl in the epilogue and Sara gets her new family.

If you haven’t already started on this MC series, dive in and Experience It All (see what I did there, Kati Wilde?)

SO, its a solid 3.5 Goodready stars from me (trust me, that is a great result.)

Craving It All and more from the next HRMC installment. Hopefully won’t have to wait too long or else I might just end up Losing It All instead…

A quick, intense and thoroughly enjoyable read.
